Just want to share something that I hope will encourage you people. :)
People, anyone may be tempted in many areas of our lifes right?
Jesus himself was also tempted, but did he fall into sin? The answer is No.
You maybe tempted while fasting, tempted in relationships, tempted in many many things.
Temptations is a trap from the devil. The devil is so desperate to break you off from God, spoil your relationship with Him. And trying to get you to fall into sin.
The devil is finding loopholes, before he even finds them, you fill the loopholes! With what? With God!
Just remember, God's watching your every move.
You have to muster enough courage and give it all to God. Allow Him to fight this fight. You don't wanna let God or the holy spirit down right?
And when you pray, and cast all problems and burdens unto the Lord, give it all to Him. Speak in tongues first, because the devil cannot understand tongues, only God understands. Pray, give all your worries to Him, put it in His hands.
Let me ask you:
Do you love God more or temptation? Which would you be obedient to?
Let me tell you the mistakes and regrets you will make IF you give into temptations. You will feel guilty, not worthy of God...for you sin against yourself and committed something really wrong. Then your life will crumble, then the devil will be laughing. You want that to happen?
Let's recall. Remember Esau? Jacob and Esau in the bible?
Esau is the one who sold the birthright just for a bowl of soup.
And the bowl of soup here is talking about temporary satisfication.(temptation)
And birthright here is like a spirtual thingy and the firstborn will have double portion of their father's anointing. Esau sold the birthright to Jacob.
God loved Jacob and despised Esau. Why? Because Jacob had respect and believed in spiritual things and Esau did not. God said..."for Jacob i have loved, and Esau i have despised". Esau sold his birthright...just cos he was thirsty.
Same as temptations, giving up a lifetime of fruitfulness just at that moment of temporary satisfaction. Even though Esau sought God very hard with all his heart...he could not get back the birthright...the anointing...the wonderful spiritual things he could feel.
James 4:7
"Submit yourselves, then to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."
Give all your worries to Him, your problems, pour it out to Him, confide in Him, confess that you have a problem, tell Him what it is, then confess that he is Lord over your life that He can solve this matter and ask Him to fight this fight for you!
We can do all things thru Christ who strengthens me!
Amen!
